Beware The Flesh

Last week, a mighty oak fell.

Paul Wolfowitz... teacher, thinker, neoconservative... cut down like your expenses when Wal-Mart comes to town.

What brought him down?

Shaha Riza.

As Professor Wolfowitz himself said of the weak-willed board of the World Bank--or should it be called the Worm Bank:

"Its members did not want to deal with a very angry Ms. Riza, whose career was being damaged as a result of their decision. It would only be human nature for them to want to steer clear of her."

Amen, Professor.

If only you could have steered clear.

Men, next time you hear the call of nature, stop and think about your purpose, about your gifts, about the kryptonite you lug through life.

And think long and hard about how this country should steer clear of another certain lady.

We don't want a great country chopped down in its prime.

He could have done better, if you ask me.

She's a woman, so what? That's not the point. I for one am glad Wolfie isn't dating a man. The point is, she's some kind of Arab. Could she be an enemy plant? A "Manchurian Girlfriend," programmed to take out one of our best men in his prime?

As long as you keep a PC attitude on this, the other side wins.

What kind of a name is Shaha.

There used to be a greaser band called Sha-na-na. They were great. You think she was trying to make fun of them?

I wonder if he called her Shah.

Her wikipedia entry says:

"Riza was born in Tripoli, Libya, to a Libyan father (Khalid Alwalid Algargny) and Syrian-Saudi mother. She grew up in Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, and the United Kingdom."

So she's not Iranian or one of the bad Iraqis. I retract my suspicion.

One thing's for sure: That woman can get one hell of a jag on. You don't want her on your case. The neighborhood will get an earful.

From what I've heard, Wolfowitz used to boast of being "The leaning tower of Riza."

Wolfie needs to move on. There are plenty of good American women who wouldn't be bothered by a war hero who combs his hair with spit. In fact, it kind of bothers me that his you-know-what led him elsewhere.
